The United Kingdom and other European countries are coming together to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. Why would they want to do that? Let me break it down for you.

The Fighting Falcon

The F-16 Fighting Falcon was developed by US defense manufacturer General Dynamics. It’s a multirole aircraft, meaning it can do things like air-to-air combat and air-to-ground attacks. The F-16 is one of the best fighter jets in the world, only topped by more modern stealth multirole aircraft like the F-35 that can do things like, Electronic Warfare. All that aside, the F-16 is still a savage weapon to wield in 2023 and give’s you an edge over most countries.

Ukraine’s Range Problem

Ukraine’s air defense is very good, good enough to keep Russian fighters jet from operating with impunity. In fact, for most of the war, the Russian air force has been missing in action because of the risk of getting shot down.
