Israeli Weapons Pause
The Biden administration paused some weapon shipments to Israel.
Why this? Why now?
Rafah
On Monday May 6th Israeli forces pushed towards Rafah and captured the border crossing that connects Egypt and the Gaza strip. When Israel launched their war into the Gaza strip last October they started in the north of the strip and forced civilians to move south. This move south cause the population of Rafah to rapidly increase from around 267k to more than a million people.
