We all know about the Ukraine war, what doesn’t get talked about as often, if at all is the Cyber War. Today I want to give you guys a brief overview and dive into what’s been going on between Ukraine and Russia.
Russia’s Cyber Structure
When it comes to hacking, mostly everyone is allowed to learn and practice it. That’s very unlike lets say, weapons manufacturing, where only the government and a select few companies are allowed to partake in. In every country, private sectors are usually way faster and more innovative than governments. So this means the best hackers in the world are going to be regular non-government people that just love the game. Russia understood this very early on and outsources a portion of it’s hacking to different criminal hacking groups and in return they don’t go after them. Sophisticated hacking groups are labeled as “Advanced Persistent Threats” or APT:
