STOP: Please do not continue unless you have good headphones or speakers. I recommend that you be alone for this ride. This is a musical experience. Please do not skip over any media. It’s there for a reason.

Mother of Young Thug's Child Shot, Killed Over Bowling Ball Dispute – Billboard

Young thug is just an untalented mumble rapper…. Oh yeah fool? I want you to watch this so we can set the tone.

Please watch before you continue:

Now that you got the “talentless mumble rapper” stigma out of your head, lets begin.

Thugger (nickname) is one of the most influential rappers of this generation. He started Young Stoner Life (YSL) Records which brought you rappers that became global superstars like Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Baby and NBA Youngboy. Huge in house producers like Wheezy and Turbo.

Jeffery Lamar Williams(real name) is a genius.

His style of rap is mostly super fun and slurs his words so If you’re not used to his music you might have a hard time understanding what he’s saying. The more you listen the more you’ll understand. He’s also not very lyrical, so people who think they’re “smart” overlook him. focus on the feeling of the music instead. Ok, let’s kick it off with one of my favorite Thugger songs, Power.

In the Chorus Thugger says:

“ First you get that money, then you get that power.

If he tune his nose up, boy, he on that powder.

Now you walk around with 50 in your trousers.

Diamonds boolin' on my chest, no fuckin' blouser”.

In the powder part hes talking about getting high on your own power.

“Now you walk around with 50 in your trousers”

Thug is talking about himself in the 3rd person. First he got the money then power and now he walks around with 50 thousand dollars cash in his pants. “Diamonds boolin” = Diamonds chilling.

Now I’m not going to help you out with every lyric that’s what https://genius.com/

is there for.

Now let’s hop into another song, Daddy’s Birthday.

Ok, that’s enough for chill Thug, lets Party.

Good Times

Round 2

Alright, 1 very important thing you should know. Young Thug was also part of a group called Rich Gang that consisted of Rich Homie Quan, Birdman (Yes THEE Birdman) and Thugger himself. The group is now broken up but while they were together they dropped some gems!

First up, Lifestyle

Now we got Tapout with a feature from Lil wayne, Nicki Minaj and Future.

Alright, we partied enough, let’s end it with some cool vibes from the Legend.

Here’s one of my favorite songs Digits:

Why is this one of my favorite songs??

Well look at the lyrics:

“Nigga, hustlers don't stop, they keep goin

You can lose your life but it gon' keep goin

Why not risk life when it's gon' keep goin?

When you die somebody else was born

But at least we got to say…

We ran up them digits, we ran up the money”.

If you hustle hard there’s no way you don’t feel those words in your soul.

Alright, Let’s end it with Killed Before.

Thank you for taking part in this experience, Now you’re good to explore Young Thug’s catalog on your own.

Recommended Albums for Starters:

  1. JEFFERY - Thug named the songs after everyone who inspired him.

  2. So Much Fun

  3. Beautiful Thugger Girls
