On Wednesday, September 4th the Department of Justice did a press release about the indictment of two RT (Russia Today) employees. Inside the indictment laid some details that blew up the internet political commentary sphere. The indictment is 32 pages long but I read all of it so you don’t have to.

Warning: everything written here is alleged and not yet proven in court

Who?

The indictment names two defendants:

  1. Kostiantyn Kalashnikov also known as "Kostya"

  2. Elena Afanasyeva also known as "Lena" (fake identities ‘Helena Shudra, Victoria Pesti’)

References to other individuals:

Eduard Grigoriann – A fake persona portrayed as a private investor, used to mislead others about the funding of the U.S. company.
